This route begins at Trigony on the A76 and takes you up the Mennock Pass to Wanlochhead, the highest village in Scotland. You drive through completely unspoilt countryside to reach this quaint little village that boasts a lead mining museum and where you can pan for gold. On the way back on the low road stop off and stretch the legs. A victorian walk that hasn't changed and where you can still find graffiti from that time.
